We also nominate individuals to be elected to serve on the Hockey Nova Scotia Female Council:
** In accordance with MEIFHA By-Law 7.4, the Officer positions are elected positions for a term of two (2) years at a MEIFHA Special Meeting called by the President. If there are more than one candidate, then there shall be a vote. Election requires fifty percent (50%) plus one (1) of the votes cast. If more than two (2) candidates are seeking election for this position, then the candidate with the fewest votes is declared defeated. Voting continues until a majority vote is obtained.
*Please note: At the 2025 AGM, a resolution was passed to adjust the terms of two Executive roles for the upcoming season only. The roles of Executive Vice-President (Kim Findlay) and VP Administration (Kristina Blackmore) will be one-year terms for 2025-26. This will stagger Executive role renewals, ensuring board continuity and preventing a situation where all members changeover at the same time.
